National Forklift Safety Day will be held on June 9, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill Hotel, 400 New Jersey Avenue, Washington, DC. The event will feature speakers from the Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA), representatives from the forklift industry, and a representative with jurisdictional oversight over the Department of Labor (DOL/OSHA).
The Industrial Truck Association is sponsoring this event. It will serve as a focal point for manufacturers to highlight the safe use of forklifts and importance of operator training. This day provides an opportunity for the industry to educate customers, policymakers and the administration on forklift operating safety practices. National Forklift Safety Day will also provide greater awareness of safe practices and encourage safer behavior.
Because safety is so important when using forklifts, Forklift America consistently stresses safety first, and offers many safety products like bollards, fire extinguishers, backup alarms, safety lights, belts, harnesses, valves and indicators, as well as safety training.
